An organism’s immune system can be destroyed by HIV, a virus that can infect humans. The immune system is directly attacked, resulting in the progressivedestruction of the body’s defense system, which in turn leads to all potential health complications.
How is this virus spread?
HIV is found in the blood (including menstrual blood periods), sperm, vaginal secretions, and mother milk. Nevertheless, it is also present in all other chemicals found in our bodies. This is the terrible news.
The good news is that the virus can only be transmitted from an infected individual to another human if the latter comes into contact with any of the liquids indicated above. In other bodily liquids, the concentratiopns are not enough to spread.
What is included in the HIV blood exam package?
Lancets
Plasters
HIV Sample collection tube
Alcohol wipes
Safety bag
Return bag

How long do I have to wait for my results?
We do our best to provide a target turnaround time of 1 working day for the HIV home kit, counted since the time your sample you delivered to our laboratory arrived.
Please deliver your sample through Royal Mail from Monday to Thursday to minimize the chance of any delays.
Letting the sample sit risks clotting which completely invalidates it. Therefore, it must be disposed of and retaken.

HIV Scientific Info/Data from Our Equipment and Material Suppliers
Technology Method:
Fluorescence quantitative immunoassay
Detection bounds:
≤ 1.00 S/CO
Precision:
The within-assay CV is ≤ 10%. The between-assay CV is ≤ 15%.
The precision relies on the within-assay coefficient of variations and the between-assay coefficient. The within-assay coefficient of variations is the variance of the result value if the same HIV sample is analysed again. The between-assay coefficient is the variance of the result value if the same sample is reprocessed from the beginning again.
Positive results:
Samples with concentrations greater than or equal to 1.00 S/CO are considered positive.
Negative results:
Samples with concentrations that are less than 1.00 S/CO are considered negative.
