K2EDTA Microtainer
K2EDTA is an anticoagulant that is employed to preserve blood in the blood collection containers for the purpose of performing a complete blood count (CBC).
The K2EDTA microtainer effectively neutralizes the calcium ion in blood, thereby preventing blood coagulation.
The erythrocyte remains constant, and the number and size of leukocytes are not affected by the K2EDTA microtainer.
Maintain the micro blood collection tube at a 30°-40° angle to the puncture site’s surface. Refrain from scraping the skin surface in order to obtain a blood sample. Blood will flow readily down the reservoir wall to the bottom of the tube after 2- to 3-drop collection.
How to use K2EDTA Microtainer:
- Fill tubes between the fill marks.
- Mix the additive and blood by gentle inversion 7-10 times.
