A full-time, 40-hour-per-week course that is intensive on the following Laboratory Instruments for one month:
1. COVID
- COVID Semi-Automatic Extractor
- COVID PCR Instrument
- Sample Reagent Management
2. Bio-Chemistry
- Centrifuge
- Biochemistry Analyser
- 40 reagents, controls and calibration training
3. Haematology Instrument Analyser
- CBC full blood count test.
4. Hormone Blood Analyser:
- Hormone, Vitamins, Tumour, Thyroid, Renal, Cardiac, and Diabetes Test in less than 30 minutes, Fluoroimmunoassay Analyser.
5. Allergy Blood Analyser
6. STI Genotyping HPV test
- PCR
- Extraction
- Reagent Management
- 9 STI BioMarkers
7. POC Comparisons and External Validations
- Training on POC Instruments and External Validations
- Hormones, Tumour Markers, Vitamins, Minerals
Inventory controls and laboratory policies are not addressed in this course. It offers competency certificates and experience that can be leveraged to secure employment in laboratories.
