- Too-long nails can complicate the process of obtaining a sample.
- Avoid vigorously shaking the sample. Instead, gently invert the container ten times. (After each drop of blood, gently rotate the tube).
- Avoid squeezing (milking).
- If necessary, rewarm your palms.
