Accuracy
The accuracy of any of our diagnostic tests is defined as the combination of sensitivity and specificity variables. Sensitivity is the test’s ability to confirm positive results, specificity is the ability to eliminate negative results. All of the tests we offer are validated to a high degree of accuracy (up to 98.5%).
Variables
Accuracy can be affected by a variety of factors that cannot be controlled by our lab. Infection intensity, patient health, and quality of the sample which is dependent on the adherence to “home testing” procedures can all be factors that limit the results of the exam. Although our tests are extremely sensitive, a poor-quality swab makes it harder to detect the presence of infection, as fewer viral particles will be present. Please carefully consider the information sheet accompanying your sample collection kit to ensure a high-quality sample.
Detection
The PCR detection method can detect the presence of the bacteria to a high degree of accuracy. The method uses a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) amplifying method to detect the presence of the pathogen.
Positive result
A positive result suggests the presence of bacteria in the sample, at the time of testing. Upon the receipt of positive results, we advise you to contact your healthcare provider for treatment. You can also gain a prescription through our website. It is possible the bacteria do not present symptoms of the disease, but you may still be infectious to others.
Negative result
While this can provide reassurance, it is important to understand its significance. This means the process did not detect the presence of infection at the time of testing. Results should still be discussed with a healthcare provider while considering lifestyle and sexual history. If you are in contact with someone who tests positive for the disease or begins to present symptoms consistent with the disease, you should contact your GP.

Maria a Story of multiple diseases
Hello, in my Gonorrhoea post, I will also share my impressions of the HPV (human papillomavirus) the Variant Study for women. It all started at the beginning of the summer of this year. I had a strange nagging pain in my lower abdomen, like before my period. Having suffered with her for a week and not having waited for these days, I went to get an STD Lab Test from my gynaecologist. After filling out all the bureaucratic paperwork, the doctor sat me in the gynaecological chair as usual and examined me from the inside. The first thing she didn’t like was my cervix. She didn’t like it so much that she immediately pinched off a piece for cytology. She urged me to wait for the result. The result almost stunned me.
Only one thought was spinning in my head: “What next?” At the appointment, the doctor performed a colposcopy on me and gave me directions for tests to a private laboratory. Among all the others, there was an HPV exam.
What is it?
As the doctor explained to me, they prescribe a test for a variant 14 when cytology and colposcopy exams are unsatisfactory. This result indicates the presence of certain problems on my cervix.
But despite the results of previous checks, the doctor asked me not to worry and to complete all the STI examinations to understand “where the wind is blowing” and decide on a treatment regimen. She put me on a special register right in the office so that I would stop worrying altogether. (sarcasm)
Biomaterial Collection?
Before visiting the laboratory, I felt very worried and tried to adhere to the STD Panel recommendations as much as possible. I took everything into account and, with a clear conscience, gave up. Since they sent me for analysis to the only paid laboratory in our city, “I’m good for my money everywhere.” Therefore, I can complete the study during laboratory working hours without queues and in a cosy environment.
After I paid the administrator for the study, a couple of minutes later, the nurse invited me to the STD treatment room. There, she laid a napkin on the gynaecological chair herself; I undressed from the waist down and prepared for unpleasant sensations. But to my surprise, a couple of minutes later, the girl asked me to get dressed since the collection of biomaterial was completed. Wow! How fast, I thought and quickly pulled on my panties. Still, I can’t bring myself to treat this kind of procedure with a calm heart.
More Results
A day later, the Invitro application notified me about the finished results. Of course, I opened it right away.
An interpretation also accompanies the results for each variant.
By the way, this is not an HPV diagnosis, and in any case, with these documents, you will have to go to an appointment with your gynaecologist.
Fortunately, nothing was discovered, and my fears diminished slightly. But now I can’t even imagine what else my gynaecologist will send me to to find the cause of my “problems” and prescribe treatment.
Results
It was the first time in my life that I underwent such a Lab. What can I say? I didn’t delve into what kind of trouble one of the cancer-dangerous variants of this virus could cause in my body if it were found. Although the result could not help but make me happy, thoughts appeared that I had suddenly done something wrong during preparation or the results were incorrect/inaccurate. This bastard was sitting inside me and doing dirty tricks. What I mean is that I recommend doing such studies ONLY ON THE DIRECTION OF A doctor, so that you don’t overthink yourself.
Since I regularly visit the gynaecologist once a year, I make sure that everything is in order, and then I continue to live my life and not think about anything bad. And now I seem to be living my normal life, but the thought that I suddenly crossed that line BEFORE/AFTER does not leave me. At this rate, soon, the eye will begin to twitch.
In general, dear ladies, undergo regular body examinations and be healthy!

Kristel – Status when planning a desired pregnancy.
💌 Why know, preparation, how it is carried out, price and analysis results
Good day, dear reader! I focused my post today on a significant topic: human papillomavirus research. My gynaecologist at a private clinic suggested this study as part of pregnancy planning. You might find it surprising that, according to my gynaecologist, HPV typically resides on the outer layers of the skin and mucous membranes, generally posing no threat to humans and remaining harmless. Among the nearly 200 types that can infect the external genitalia, some are low oncogenic risk types like 6 and 11, responsible for genital warts, and others are high oncogenic risk variants, notably types 16 and 18.
Nowadays, gynaecologists routinely perform cytological examinations during any gynaecological check-up. These examinations can detect abnormalities, signalling the need for Woman Swab to determine one’s status.
Why know your status?
My gynaecologist explained why conducting this study before pregnancy is important. High-risk variants, if detected during scraping, require checking the cytological smear result. A healthy cervix and undamaged cells in cytology indicate current health despite STD carrier status. With these results, you can safely become pregnant and deliver a healthy child. Conversely, abnormal cytology may indicate potential issues requiring further investigation or treatment. Regular screenings ensure timely detection and management of abnormalities, promoting maternal and fetal health.
If low oncogenic risk HPV, known as genital warts of the vulva, is detected, doctors will suggest removing them before planning a pregnancy. This precaution is necessary because the child may come into contact with these warts during childbirth, potentially leading to transmission to the child’s face, body, or even laryngeal papillomatosis.
This is why you need to know your STD status for the desired pregnancy.
My results
My typing of papillomas is negative. Of those presented in the analysis results, low-oncogenic-risk HPVs include 6 and 11, and high-oncogenic-risk variants include 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 45, 52, 58, and 59.
Conclusion
Thus, diagnosing the virus is a wake-up call in choosing the patient’s behaviour tactics: calm down and move on with life or move on to further diagnosis and treatment.
Be healthy, and thank you for your attention to my post!
